Our company has existed for many years under the name of Shawl Cosmos of kashmiri Crafts (SCOKC), and was originally founded as an effort to main­tain the tradition of processing cash­mere wool in small family businesses in Kashmir, a traditional production method that dates back many genera­tions.

One of the goals of Kashmiri Copen­hagen is to provide small shawl pro­ducers in Kashmir an opportunity to earn a living wage and thereby im­prove the quality of life for themselves and for the local community, and to continue the long and honored tradition of cashmere shawl making.

In 2013 we decided to relaunch the company and rename it to Kashmiri Copenhagen. A business name which would include the history of SCOKC, but at the same time contain the basic idea behind the new company, which is to combine the best from the Indian and Danish culture – and provide unique, quality products that lasts!
